Family Navigation
Families receive personalized assistance identifying resources, understanding available services, completing referrals, and overcoming barriers that may make it difficult to access care.
Parent & Caregiver Support
Parents and caregivers receive practical tools, education, advocacy, and support designed to strengthen confidence, improve communication, and help families successfully navigate challenging situations.
Youth Support
Youth participate in structured programming focused on decision-making, personal responsibility, communication, emotional wellness, relationship-building, and positive growth.
JCPC Youth & Family Programming
MHA of Central Carolinas works with Mecklenburg County’s juvenile justice and community partners to provide structured support for eligible youth ages 12–17 and their caregivers.
Our goal is to help young people recognize their strengths, develop healthier coping and communication skills, build accountability, strengthen family relationships, and reduce the likelihood of future involvement with the juvenile justice system.
The VOICE Framework
Youth explore five core principles that encourage personal growth, responsibility, stronger communication, and healthier choices.

How Do I Participate?
Participation begins with a referral and intake process. This helps our team learn more about the youth and family, determine whether the program is an appropriate fit, and identify additional services that may be helpful.
Parents and caregivers may also submit a self-referral. The referral form includes an option allowing families to refer themselves directly to the program.
Community providers, schools, court partners, juvenile justice professionals, healthcare providers, and other community organizations may also submit referrals.
