MHA has limited unpaid seasonal internship opportunities which can support Advocacy/Public Policy, Compeer, Development, Education, and ParentVOICE programs. Clinical supervision is currently only available for Johnson C. Smith University and UNC-Charlotte MSW or MA in Counseling students. Because MHA has limited internships, this is a competitive process. Please email your resume to mha@mhaofcc.org and complete our Volunteer Application below.

Special Events Volunteers

Age Eligibility: Adults Only (18+)

Contact Email: Andrea Towner
Contact Phone: 704-559-2913

Want to take a hands-on approach? Volunteers are always needed to help with special events throughout the year, but especially in the fall and prior to May Mental Health Month. Small groups (5 or less) can volunteer to sponsor and plan a program event with staff, for Compeer or ParentVOICE participants. Artistic volunteers can share their talent and lead a group of seniors and youth with a cross-generational project called H-Art of Friendship. If you have experience or interest in fundraising events, you may be interested in the Development Committee or serving as a Wake Up for Wellness Table Captain.
