Youth Series- QPR Suicide Prevention Training- Virtual (6PM-7:15PM)

Wed, May 20
Virtual (via Zoom)
6PM-7:15PM

This training is designed for recent high school graduates.

QPR stands for Question, Persuade and Refer, three steps anyone can learn to help prevent suicide. Like CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis and can save lives.

What will I learn?

  • How to Question, Persuade and Refer someone who may be suicidal.
  • How to get help for yourself or learn more about preventing suicide.
  • The common causes of suicidal behavior.
  • The warning signs of suicide.
  • How to get help for someone in crisis.

This training is designed for recent high school graduates.

Registered participants will receive an email before the virtual training containing Access Instructions and the Zoom access link.

After the class is over, each participant will be asked to fill out an anonymous, confidential course evaluation. Once you complete and return the evaluation, MHA will either mail you one (1) QPR booklet via U.S. Mail or send you access to QPR post-training materials on the QPR Institute website.

While this training is offered free of charge, your donation helps us continue providing accessible mental health education to our community. Every contribution directly supports our ability to expand and sustain these important programs.
