This is a new 60-minute workshop designed to be an introduction to talking about mental health and suicide. For many, it is difficult to find an open space to talk openly about mental health and ways in which we can support friends, family, and coworkers- we want this to be that open space. There will be time at the end of the training dedicated to open conversation about mental health.
You will learn:
- A brief introduction to common mental health diagnoses and symptoms individuals may experience
- Supportive language surrounding mental health, such as “helpful things to say”
- How to encourage and support another individual
- Local and national mental health resources
*If you are looking for a more in-depth training about suicide prevention specifically, consider signing up for one of our 90-minute QPR Suicide Prevention trainings on our Events page! We have QPR trainings available for Adults and Youth (Ages 13-18)!
While this training is offered free of charge, your donation helps us continue providing accessible mental health education to our community. Every contribution directly supports our ability to expand and sustain these important programs.
