The Shot of Espresso is a 30-minute VIRTUAL gathering with an MHA Storyteller volunteer, who will share their tips for staying mentally healthy. You’ll gain some new tools as well as deepen your support system! Cameras are optional but we love to see you throughout the half-hour to better connect.
On Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 12:00-12:30 p.m., MHA Storytellers Jim Love and John MacQueen will lead a discussion on the power of writing in helping our mental health. Jim and John will discuss how prose, poetry, and journaling help get what’s happening inside our hearts and minds into the outside world. Writing helps put into words what you’re feeling, which can lead to improving communication and, ultimately, catharsis. They will also touch on how writing has helped each of them manage their mental health challenges.
Q&A will be offered via the Chat and at the end of the presentation.
